Two cabinet models are being offered for the first time in Mendoza

Cosmo Casino in Mendoza has begun a phased modernization of its gaming floor, marking the start of a broader upgrade program at the property.

The first stage includes the addition of more than 18 new slot machines, with the casino stating that further improvements will be implemented throughout the remainder of the year.

The new machines feature high-definition graphics and updated game mechanics, according to the casino. The expansion also introduces additional gaming options as part of the property's ongoing modernization program.

The floor has also gained access to the Mega Lounge and Grand Mega Lounge linked progressive jackpot networks, which at the time of announcement had accumulated a combined prize pool of more than ARS5m ($4,000).

The upgrade included the addition of several new slot games aimed at expanding the property's gaming offering. The casino did not disclose the value of the investment.

According to Cosmo Casino, the additions mark the first phase of a broader modernization program. Further equipment upgrades and new product introductions are expected throughout the remainder of the year, although no detailed timeline has been announced.

The property sits in central Mendoza and is operated by Grupo Huentala, the hospitality group founded by Julio Camsen. The casino relaunched under the Cosmo brand in 2023 after Chilean operator Enjoy exited its stake in the Mendoza venue in early 2022.

Since then, it has pursued a series of commercial initiatives, including the launch of Cosmo Club, a tiered loyalty program, and a push to attract what management has termed "gaming tourism" from other Argentinian provinces and international visitors.

The June floor upgrade is the first publicly announced equipment investment at the property since the 2023 rebrand.
