The Canadian Football League (CFL)’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats has named ToonieBet as the franchise’s exclusive and official iGaming partner, set to launch ahead of the CFL draft party on the week of June 29.

"Partnering with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats is an exciting moment for ToonieBet as we continue to grow our presence in Ontario through experiences that feel relevant, entertaining and close to sports fans across the province," Head of ToonieBet Canada Daniel Madmon said.

"This agreement gives us the opportunity to be part of the game day experience in a meaningful way, from the club level and stadium activations to broadcast and digital moments that help us connect with supporters throughout the season."

Regulated by iGaming Ontario and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), ToonieBet formed a multi-year agreement with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, providing naming rights for the club level section at Tim Hortons Field.

The agreement will feature two activation spaces at Hamilton Stadium, contests and fan initiatives across digital channels, stadium branding, on-site experiences and promotional campaigns.

Hamilton Sports Group VP of Partnership & Retail Kyle Lohnes also spoke on the new partnership, having said, "We are excited to welcome Tooniebet to the Hamilton Tiger-Cat Family.

"They are focused on delivering engaging, fan-first experience and together we look forward to delivering unforgettable moments at Hamilton Stadium and across our digital platforms."

In May, iGaming Ontario launched its BetGuard self-exclusion tool for online players, having collaborated with government partners, responsible gaming experts and licensed operators to develop the new program.

BetGuard restricts players from accessing their existing accounts, creating new accounts and receiving marketing communications from regulated sites, as well as set exclusion terms of six months, one year, five years or a custom length of time.
