Operator Codere has announced the appointment of Marcus Arildsson as its new Chief Financial Officer, with this latest appointment subject to shareholder approval, expected in early December.
Indeed, Arildsson's appointment will come following the necessary shareholder approvals expected to be confirmed following the operator's Extraordinary General Meeting on 1 December.
With over 25 years of financial experience across investment banking, corporate finance and equity in a variety of global markets, Arildsson has managed over €14bn ($16.2bn) IPO, international M&A and equity-related transactions during his career. He will now oversee all financial operations at Codere.
A fluent Spanish, English and Swedish speaker, Arildsson will now focus on key markets for Codere, including in Spain and across Latin America. Commenting on this appointment, he stated the following: "I'm thrilled to join Codere Online, a company that has demonstrated outstanding execution and discipline since becoming public. Its success reflects a strong team and clear vision, and I look forward to contributing to the next chapter of that journey"
Echoing this sentiment was company CEO, Aviv Sher, who said: "Marcus is a seasoned financial executive whose leadership and experience will be invaluable as we continue executing our plan. We also thank Oscar for his many contributions and for ensuring a seamless transition; we look forward to his continued involvement at the Board level."
Plans for Iglesias' transition to a Board role were announced in September of this year, following the prior release of the company's H1 2025 financial results, which saw the operator detail an NGR figure of €111.8m for the period, up 4% year-on-year.
