Choctaw Casino & Resort Pocola is set to undergo a $140m expansion and renovation project, including a “casino refresh” which will see the property’s gaming floor receive new carpeting and lighting fixtures.

“As the largest employer in LeFlore County and the second largest resort in the Choctaw Casinos & Resort portfolio, Choctaw – Pocola plays a vital role in driving economic growth and opportunity in this region. This investment will allow us to welcome more guests while delivering an even higher level of hospitality and resort experience.”
The Pocola establishment was originally opened in 1994 as a bingo hall prior to offering Oklahoma residents a hotel, gaming floor and more than 7,000 sq ft of meeting and event space.
Choctaw Casino & Resort Pocola’s poker room and off track betting and rewards club will move to upgraded locations, while a new hotel tower is also planned for the expansion and renovation project.
GM Christy Chaser spoke on the new amenities, having said, “We’re excited to share our latest expansion and renovation project with our guests and the community.
“This investment not only transforms our property by doubling our hotel capacity and introducing contemporary, elevated amenities, but also reflects our ongoing commitment to the people and businesses here.”
An official groundbreaking ceremony for the project is expected to take place in the fall of 2026, while Choctaw Casino & Resort Pocola will partner with Tutor Perini Construction and JCJ Architecture throughout development.
Aristocrat Gaming launched its $1m Dragon Link slot at Choctaw Casino & Resort - Durant on April 1, marking the first time the linked progressive title has gone live in Oklahoma.
The supplier said the game is now installed in the Link Casino at the Oklahoma property, where it expands on the wider Dragon Link franchise with a high-denomination format and a starting linked jackpot of $1m.
