Boyd Gaming has appointed Stacia Andersen and George Roeth to its Board of Directors, with each having served in various executive roles for organizations such as PetSmart LLC, The Clorox Company and Central Garden & Pet.
Andersen previously served as PetSmart EVP and Chief Customer Officer since 2019, having held the President role for Abercrombie & Fitch and several senior executive positions during a 20-year tenure with Target Corporation.
She also currently serves on the Board of Directors of footwear manufacturing company Wolverine World Wide.
Roeth is the former CEO of Central Garden and Pet and spent 27 years in various marketing and executive roles with The Clorox Company, including co-COO. Roeth currently serves as Lead Director of Oil-Dri Corporation of America and is also an Executive Advisor to Gryphon Investors Inc.
In February 2026, Boyd Gaming entered into a definitive agreement to sell Sam’s Town Hotel & Casino in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Bally’s Corporation. The property includes a 29,000 sq ft casino with 750 slot machines and 14 table games, a 514-room hotel, multiple restaurants, a live entertainment venue and convention and meeting space.
The transaction is expected to close during the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and required regulatory approvals, although financial terms were not provided at the time of announcement.
Boyd Gaming also reported its financial results for Q1 2026 on April 23, as revenue increased 0.6% to $997.4m despite falls in net income and adjusted EBITDA for the Nevada-based operator.
For Q1 2026, net income decreased 5.9% for a total of $104.3m, while Boyd Gaming’s adjusted EBITDA fell 6.6% year-over-year to $288.8m.
