Aristocrat Interactive has appointed former Light & Wonder executive Daniel O’Donoghue as the supplier’s new COO, where he will help execute long-term growth strategy and develop new growth potential. 

"I am pleased to announce that I have joined Aristocrat Interactive as Chief Operating Officer. I am hugely grateful for the opportunity and for the trust placed in me by Dylan Slaney and Aristocrat/Aristocrat Interactive,” O’Donoghue said. 

“I am very excited to be on this ambitious team as we seek to execute on our strategy and deliver on the growth potential of the business. Looking forward to meeting the team and working together to continue delivering innovative online real money gaming products, platforms and solutions for our customers and partners.”

O’Donoghue previously served as COO of Light & Wonder’s iGaming business for just over three years, having originally joined the supplier as VP of iGaming Transformation in February 2022.

Prior to joining the industry, O’Donoghue worked with global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal in a Senior Director of Corporate Transformation Services role, and spent nearly 12 years with Accenture in various managerial positions. 

Slaney originally took over as Aristocrat Interactive CEO in November 2025 after succeeding Moti Malul, having also made the switch from Light & Wonder. 

Dean Krogstad also announced his appointment as VP of North America Manufacturing Operations at Aristocrat  on 18 June, taking on an expanded leadership role after more than 14 years with the organisation.

Krogstad joined Aristocrat in 2012 as Master Scheduler and has since progressed through a series of operational leadership positions spanning manufacturing, distribution, field service and supply chain management.
