Michael Jordan is set to grace the stage at the SBC Lisbon Summit 2026, appearing as part of a panel discussion alongside DraftKings CEO Jason Robins and Sportradar CEO Carsten Koerl.
Renowned by many as the greatest basketball player of all time, Jordan also enjoyed a short but memorable spell in the professional baseball leagues and has – since retiring as a full-time sportsman – built a lucrative career as an investor and philanthropist. Indeed, Jordan has invested minority equity stakes in both DraftKings and Sportradar, whom he will appear alongside during this SBC Keynote.
Titled ‘Leadership in Sports Business,’ the panel is set to explore the evolutionary track of sports, media, data and technology, as well as discussing marketing in modern gambling and the growing synergetic connections between sports betting and iGaming.
Commenting on the announcement of this panel, SBC CEO and Founder Rasmus Sojmark said: “This is the kind of conversation that transcends our industry. To have Michael Jordan, Carsten Koerl, and Jason Robins on stage together is something truly special.
“These are individuals who have each changed the way people engage with sports and business in completely different ways — through performance, technology, innovation, and vision. Bringing them together at SBC Summit reflects both the scale of where this industry is today and where it is heading.”
This latest announcement comes off the back of a recent update which saw Sportradar partner with Kalshi last month, whilst DraftKings also recently announced the launch of its new proprietary prediction markets exchange DKeX in recent weeks. Also in June, SBC announced that DJ Tiësto would be the headline musical act at the SBC Lisbon 2026 closing party.
