Caesars Entertainment has officially launched its new Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino property with a grand opening celebration, featuring a ribbon cutting ceremony and live music performances for guests.

“With Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe, we set out to create something truly distinctive for this market. An experience that blends the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada with the energy and innovation our guests expect,” Caesars President & COO Anthony Carano said.

“The grand opening represents the realization of that vision and the beginning of an exciting new era for Lake Tahoe.”

The July 6 celebration represented the conclusion of a multi-phased transformation of the former Harveys Lake Tahoe property, as Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe now offers a modernized casino floor and enhanced guest experiences.

Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe’s casino floor features new slot machines, table games, high-limit poker and a Caesars Sportsbook, while the redesigned property also remains connected to the operator’s Harrah’s Lake Tahoe destination.

Karie Hall – who currently serves as SVP & GM of both properties – also commented on the new launch, having said, “Our vision was to take everything guests have loved about this destination for decades and revitalize it through a more modern, design-forward lens.

“The result is a resort that feels vibrant, elevated and unmistakably Tahoe, whether you’re here for the views, the dining or the moments you can’t get anywhere else.”

In Maine, Caesars expanded upon its existing partnership with three Wabanaki Nations Tribes – the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians, Mi’kmaq Nation and Penobscot Nation – to launch iGaming operations on June 24.

The operator originally partnered with the Tribes to introduce its sportsbook offering to Maine residents during 2023, and expects to follow suit with iGaming by the conclusion of 2026, pending regulatory approvals.

Elsewhere in Nevada, the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas began operating as the Westgate SuperBook, powered by Caesars Sportsbook, following a new partnership between the entities on April 21.
