DigiPlus Interactive Corp. has joined the Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gaming (IBJR), expanding its involvement in industry discussions as it develops the BingoPlus brand in Brazil.
The Philippine operator, which also owns ArenaPlus and GameZone, received federal authorization through its wholly owned subsidiary DigiPlus Brazil Interactive Ltda. Brazil’s regulated fixed-odds betting and online gaming market formally opened in January 2025, with authorized operators required to use .bet.br domains and comply with rules covering anti-money laundering, advertising and player protection.
DigiPlus began its Brazilian expansion with a soft launch of GamePlus in September 2025 but paused the platform several weeks later. It said the decision would allow it to prepare a localized product for a wider rollout in 2026. BingoPlus was subsequently identified as the operator’s second planned platform in the country.
The IBJR membership gives DigiPlus a role in the trade body’s work on responsible gambling and the illegal market.
IBJR has also entered a cooperation agreement with the National Association of Games and Lotteries and the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting to coordinate technical and institutional measures against unauthorized operators.
IBJR CEO, Carlos Lima, said: “The company’s entry demonstrates the maturity of the sector and reinforces its commitment to regulation and the firm fight against the illegal betting market.”
DigiPlus Brazil GM, Graham Tidey, said: “Joining the IBJR reflects DigiPlus’ expansion in Brazil, where we already operate the BingoPlus brand and continue to invest in strengthening our presence.”
The expansion comes as DigiPlus manages weaker results in its home market following regulatory changes in the Philippines. First-quarter 2026 revenue fell 25% year-on-year to Php17.2bn ($291.1m), while EBITDA declined 42% to Php2.6bn and net income decreased 33% to Php2.8bn. DigiPlus has continued to identify Brazil and South Africa as its main international growth markets.
IBJR’s operator members include bet365, BetMGM, Betsson Group, Entain, Flutter Brazil, Kaizen Gaming, KTO Group and Novibet.
DigiPlus previously introduced its Entertainment for Good strategy, combining responsible gaming controls, governance and community investment with its expansion plans.
DigiPlus appointed Tidey to oversee its Brazilian operations in March 2025 through its São Paulo-based subsidiary
