Macau's integrated resort operators are strengthening their support for the government's "Tourism and Leisure Buses: Exploring Community Charms" initiative. New visitor incentives and expanded shuttle services are designed to drive more foot traffic into local neighborhoods while creating additional business opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises.
MGM will launch its new "Leisure Shuttle Stamp Rewards" campaign on July 17, becoming the first integrated resort operator to partner with businesses along the shuttle routes by offering exclusive visitor benefits.
Passengers using the MGM Leisure Bus will receive a stamp collection map and can collect stamps by making purchases at participating merchants. Visitors who accumulate enough stamps will be eligible to redeem limited-edition MGM gifts at MGM COTAI.
To accommodate higher visitor demand, MGM has added its MGM Macau property as a boarding point and will introduce Friday services between July 17 and August 30, in addition to existing weekend operations. Extra services will also be available during the National Day, Christmas, and New Year holidays.
SJM Resorts is also enhancing its participation during the initiative's second phase, which runs from July 17, 2026 through January 3, 2027. The company will add new departures from Grand Lisboa while operating five shuttle routes with ten scheduled services on weekends. Additional Friday services will also be introduced during the summer holiday period, alongside special holiday operations later in the year.
As part of its expanded promotional efforts, SJM will distribute cash vouchers or promotional coupons to passengers traveling on the Barra Temple route, encouraging them to visit Kam Pek Market and surrounding districts.
Together, the expanded shuttle services and merchant partnerships reflect ongoing efforts to strengthen the integration of tourism and local community development across Macau.
The second phase of the community tourism initiative runs from July 17 through early January 2027
