The Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) Government has reported that its tour bus scheme launch has been successful, and all six routes have been operating safely and smoothly.
Previously, the SAR launched the new bus routes in a bid to expand its economy and to increase tourism –operating through several districts in Macau. The bus routes include stops that integrates with six different resorts along its journey.
As of May 5, more than 3,000 people have taken the tour bus and nearly 1,000 have been dropped off at community stops. The effects of this linkage are a clear indicator in revitalising the community through economic growth.
The Gaming inspection and Coordination Bureau is actively monitoring and coordinating with holiday enterprises to improve bus scheduling, passenger flow guidance and promotional tourism.
The Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDB) has set up a webpage for further information on the bus tour, with real-time updates on schedules, stops and public restrooms in the local area.
Various promotional online and offline work has been introduced, including numerous videos and features on social media platforms.
The bus scheme is a further tool in promotion for Macau and is providing greater accessibility to various casino resorts in the region. Directed primarily towards tourists, this will reaffirm Macau’s place in the top spot of gaming and casino operations in Asia.
The SAR Government states that it will comprehensively summarize the experience and effectiveness of this stage, collect opinions and suggestions from all parties.
Two previously named routes were called the “Time Machine Tour” and the “Weekend Fun Tour”
