Virgin Hotels Las Vegas has officially opened its redesigned sportsbook in partnership with William Hill, following approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission.
The venue held its grand opening on 20 November with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Virgin Hotels Las Vegas President Cliff Atkinson, alongside representatives from William Hill and Caesars Entertainment.
The new William Hill Sportsbook significantly expands the resort's sports wagering offer and introduces several upgraded features. These include eight self-service betting kiosks available around the clock, as well as the ability for guests to register for the William Hill Nevada mobile wagering app directly on-site.
Customers can also make mobile deposits and withdrawals at the sportsbook, aiming to add additional convenience for regular bettors.
The launch comes ahead of a major race weekend in Las Vegas, with the venue positioned close to the paddock area.
William Hill is offering new mobile users a first bet match of up to $250, awarded as a Bonus Bet after their initial mobile wager.
Commenting on the development, President Cliff Atkinson stated: "We are ecstatic to welcome our new sportsbook partners to Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, and we are so grateful to work with the outstanding team at William Hill.
"This opening represents an exciting new phase for our property as we expand our betting experiences ahead of the major sporting events set to arrive in our city."
Michael Grodsky, SVP of Retail Sportsbook Operations at William Hill, added: "The opening of this sportsbook is a major win for sports fans locally in Las Vegas and all guests of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
"We're proud to celebrate this milestone grand opening and bring an unmatched sports betting experience to a great destination at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas ahead of an action-packed sports weekend in our city."
Off the back of the launch, sports fans will have access to a wide range of betting options, including prop bets, Same Game Parlays, Super Parlays, Cash Out functionality and livestreamed sports events within the William Hill app.
Meanwhile, Evoke's William Hill brand announced it will exit 13 markets across Africa and Asia from 2 December, following earlier departures from India, Jamaica and Botswana in September. The affected markets include Angola, Kenya, Nigeria, Vietnam and Nepal, among others, as the UK division of William Hill, separate to William Hill US in today's landscape, consolidates operations amid profitability concerns.
The launch follows Virgin Hotels Las Vegas' introduction of Cherry Rewards earlier this year, a loyalty programme designed to integrate rewards across dining, entertainment, gaming and other resort amenities
