Nederlandse Loterij has completed the full acquisition of Lotify, the Dutch digital platform that enables sports federations, clubs, charities, events and companies to organize compliant fundraising lotteries and prize campaigns.

The operator had held a majority stake in Lotify since 2021 but the new purchase brings the platform entirely under its ownership, marking a step to consolidate its position as a responsible and innovative provider in the national lottery sector.

Lotify operates as a turnkey solution for organizations seeking to raise funds through lotteries without navigating the complexities of licensing, technical standards, participant communication or payout compliance.

Its offering includes end-to-end management of every stage of the process, ensuring all draws meet regulatory requirements set by Dutch authorities.

With the acquisition, Nederlandse Loterij plans to leverage its nearly three centuries of operational experience to further professionalise and expand Lotify's reach.

Arjan Blok, CEO of Nederlandse Loterij, stated that bringing Lotify fully into the organisation will strengthen its ability to support partners across the country.

"As a full part of the Dutch Lottery, Lotify can make even better use of our knowledge, our network and our impact. This allows us to support even more sports federations, associations and charities. Because especially in this day and age they are looking for new ways to raise funds," he said.

Lotify founder Guy van Iperen described the transition as a natural next step.

"After four years of intensive collaboration, the time has come to transfer Lotify to the Dutch Lottery. That is in line with the agreements we made in 2021, when the Dutch Lottery took over the majority of the shares.," he noted.
