Merkur Group has taken a major step in its partnership with Spintec by securing a stake in the Slovenia-based developer, formalising a relationship that began with a technology-focused collaboration in 2019.
The investment gives Merkur broader access to Spintec's suite of Electronic Table Games while expanding the reach of both companies across Europe, the Americas and parts of Asia.
The companies' cooperation to date has centred on combining Spintec's engineering capabilities with Merkur's established distribution channels and customer network.
Merkur said the strengthened agreement will help broaden the availability of Spintec's compact and amphitheatre-style ETG products, already deployed across numerous Merkur venues through their partnership with Merkur Spielbanken.
Earlier this month, Yggdrasil announced the rollout of its slot portfolio on Merkur's MerkurXtip platform in Serbia, delivered through Bragg Gaming's aggregation technology. The integration includes both proprietary Yggdrasil titles and content from its YGG Masters programme, extending Merkur's local content offering as operators increase slot diversification in the region.
Spintec said the next phase of the partnership will support further product development and enable greater operational alignment across both organisations.
Merkur described the investment as an important component of its wider international growth strategy, positioning the company to offer a more extensive selection of ETG and slot products to operators.
Both parties indicated that the expanded collaboration is expected to generate additional commercial and technological synergies, building on several years of steady integration.
Bragg Gaming, which supports Merkur's Serbian content rollout, is also active in a number of regulated US states, including a recent expansion with Caesars in West Virginia
