Fable Media Group has appointed a new CEO in Carl Magnusson
He will assume the top job alongside his Head of Operations position
Former CEO Alexander Pettersson is set to step into the CFO role after eight years in charge

Affiliate Fable Media Group has announced Carl Magnusson as its new CEO, a role which he has stepped into effective immediately.

Magnusson brings over 12 years of operational industry experience with him to the position, which will see him manage and oversee the company’s overall operational strategy. Previously, Magnusson has acted as Fable Media Group’s Head of Operations – a role which he will retain alongside his CEO position – where he has managed the organisation’s growth initiatives, marketing strategies and operational execution.

Crucially, this reshuffle sees the tenure of Alexander Pettersson as CEO come to an end after eight years in charge. Pettersson is set to assume the role of CFO, where he will manage and oversee Fable Media’s financial strategy – as well as supporting Magnusson through this transition to CEO. Having assumed the CEO role, himself, in 2018, Pettersson helped steer the company through a period of significant change.

Speaking on this latest development was Fable Media Group Board Member and Principal Shareholder Frederik Cardel Fable-Hansen, who said: "Alexander Pettersson has done an excellent job leading Fable Media over the past eight years. Under his leadership, the Company has established a strong financial foundation, successfully restructured its bond financing, improved its financial reporting and governance, and introduced a shareholder-friendly quarterly dividend policy. We are very pleased that Alexander will continue to contribute to the Company as CFO.

"At the same time, Fable Media is entering a phase where operational execution and growth initiatives are becoming increasingly important. With the Company's financial structure firmly in place, it is a natural step to bring the CEO role closer to the day-to-day marketing operations. Carl Magnusson has extensive industry experience, deep knowledge of our business and organisation, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional operational results. I have worked closely with Carl for many years, and I am confident that he is the right person to lead Fable Media through its next stage of development."
