Betsson has completed the acquisition of Rhino Entertainment Group’s B2C business in Canada, along with a portfolio of technology assets to support its B2B operations.

The deal includes several Rhino Group entities that hold licenses, operational capabilities, personnel and assets linked to Rhino’s B2C activities in Ontario and other Canadian markets.

As part of the transaction, Betsson has also acquired Rhino’s proprietary front-end and middleware technology. This technology will strengthen Betsson’s B2B offering and is expected to drive additional licensing revenue within its B2B business.

Expanded B2B revenue streams are very important to Betsson now. Last month, in an exclusive interview with Global Gaming Insider, Betsson AB CEO Pontus Lindwall discussed the company's Q2 2026 results and headwinds in its B2B segment.

Betsson reported record quarterly revenue of €310.2m ($355m) for the second quarter of 2026, up 2% year-on-year. Profitability declined as higher gaming taxes and weaker B2B performance offset revenue growth. However, Lindwall noted that Betsson is on the "right track" to improving margins.

Lindwall attributed the decline in profitability to ongoing challenges in the company's B2B business rather than weaknesses in its overall strategy.

When asked about steps the company is taking to return B2B business to growth, he noted:  ‘’We will continue along the same lines by building very competitive products that we can utilise in the B2B business, sell to partners and generate revenue from.

‘’We didn’t really change much because of the current situation. We just keep working as we have done, and over time, that will help us grow the B2B business.’’
