Spain's National Organisation of the Blind (ONCE) will make its Dupla lottery product available through its official online platform from 1 September 2026, following the publication of a regulatory amendment in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
The change was confirmed through a Resolution issued by the State Secretariat for Social Rights, which publishes a modification to the marketing arrangements for the Dupla de la ONCE game, part of the ONCE Active Game lottery portfolio.
The amendment follows verification by the Permanent Committee of the ONCE Board of Trustees, which concluded that the changes comply with Spain's regulatory framework governing ONCE's lottery operations.
Under Spanish law, ONCE is one of only two organisations authorised to offer state-level lottery products, with oversight provided by the Board of Trustees and the Government.
Dupla was introduced in May 2026 and has, until now, only been available through point-of-sale terminals operated by authorised ONCE sales agents and members of its commercial network.
The latest amendment expands distribution by allowing tickets to be purchased through the official JuegosONCE.es website, providing players with an additional purchasing channel while leaving existing retail sales unchanged.
According to the published resolution, the change was introduced for commercial reasons and required notification to the Board of Trustees to ensure compliance with the terms of ONCE's state concession and applicable gambling legislation before being published in the BOE.
The new online sales option is scheduled to become operational on 1 September 2026.
The publication also reiterates that any future amendments to ONCE's lottery products must undergo the same review and publication process, which is intended to provide regulatory oversight and transparency for consumers.
This latest development comes amid a wave of regulatory activity in Spain's gambling market. The Government has also created ANIFI, a new anti-money laundering authority partly funded by gambling operators, while the DGOJ has published a consolidated report on regional gambling rules and confirmed that the online market's active player base grew to 2.15 million in 2025.
