Brightstar Lottery to deliver 1,200 Retailer Pro S2 terminals to PMP
Deployment supports PMP's ongoing retail system upgrades across Malaysia
Announcement follows Brightstar's 2024 Sustainability Report and recent operational growth

Brightstar Lottery has signed a contract with Pan Malaysian Pools (PMP) to supply 1,200 Retailer Pro S2 terminals as part of PMP's multi-year effort to enhance its retail lottery network across Malaysia.

The agreement includes delivery of next-generation hardware designed to support faster processing speeds, expanded peripheral options and improved user interaction.

PMP said the new terminals form part of its ongoing retail upgrade strategy.

Tan Kong Han, PMP Managing Director, said: "Deploying Brightstar's Retailer Pro S2 terminals will provide several added benefits for PMP, our retailers, and players."

The Retailer Pro S2 is designed with a 15.6-inch touchscreen and a high-performance processor.

Its modular configuration supports peripherals including barcode scanners, fingerprint readers, NFC technology and webcams, enabling retailers to tailor functionality to different locations.

The system also allows for multiple player-facing displays. Brightstar described the S2 as an updated model within its Retailer Pro product line.

Marco Tasso, COO International and Italy Operations at Brightstar, said: "The S2 redefines player engagement by offering a range of interactive options."

The announcement follows Brightstar's release of its 2024 Sustainability Report last week, the company's first since becoming a standalone lottery supplier.

The report outlined updated ESG priorities across responsible gaming, employee engagement, sustainable procurement and climate initiatives. Brightstar also reported a 7% year-on-year rise in Q3 revenue to $629m and expanded partnerships in markets including Texas and Europe.

The company said the deployment in Malaysia reflects demand for scalable hardware solutions as lottery operators update retail systems to meet evolving operational and customer requirements.

PMP plans to integrate the terminals across its network as part of its wider retail modernisation programme.
