Malaysian gaming equipment supplier RGB International has appointed industry veteran Kelvin Tan Hai Ching as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Tan brings more than 30 years of experience in banking, gaming, hospitality and international marketing. He most recently served as Executive Vice President of International Marketing at Sands China, a role he has held since 2015, overseeing VIP and junket operations while leading strategic marketing initiatives across Asia.

Prior to joining Sands China, Tan held senior executive positions at Melco Crown Resorts & Entertainment, Venetian Macau, Fontana Leisure Park and Casino, Club Waterfront International and Legend International Resorts. He also served as a Strategy Advisor to Tabcorp in 2005 and was part of the team that secured the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort licence in Singapore.

Before entering the gaming industry, Tan began his career in corporate banking with United Overseas Bank. In addition to his corporate experience, Tan has remained active in Macau's business community, including serving as the founding chairman of the Macao Malaysian Chamber of Commerce.

RGB said Tan holds a direct interest of 940,000 ordinary shares in the company. It also confirmed that he has no family relationships with existing directors or major shareholders and no conflicts of interest in relation to his appointment.

Listed on Bursa Malaysia, RGB International is one of the region's leading suppliers of electronic gaming machines and casino equipment. Beyond manufacturing and distribution, the group provides machine concession services, technical support, preventative maintenance and on-site solutions for casino operators across Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, the Philippines, Macau and Timor-Leste.

The appointment adds further gaming industry expertise to RGB's board as the company continues supporting casino operators across Asia through its gaming equipment, technology and concession businesses.
