The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has reported the state’s total gaming activity for Q2 and first-half of 2026, as net revenue during both periods rose year-over-year despite decreases in gross operating profit.
For Q2 2026, net revenue increased 0.9% to $844.5m, while gross operating profit for New Jersey casinos decreased 10.1% to $164.9m. Borgata Atlantic City led all operators with $218.4m of net revenue and increased 3.6%, although gross operating profit fell 4.7% to $60.1m.
Hard Rock accounted for $148.4m of net revenue in New Jersey but decreased 0.9%, while gross operating fell 10.5% to $29.1m. Ocean Casino’s net revenue totaled $142m and rose 9.2%, having also managed to grow gross operating profit by 12.2% to $30.1m.
Caesars generated $68.1m of net revenue for growth of 7.7%, while gross operating profit reached 13% and rose 2.9%. Tropicana was close behind even after net revenue decreased 0.5% to $39.6m, as the property’s gross operating profit fell 8.7% to $13.6m.
Harrah’s was responsible for $69.6m of net revenue in New Jersey and increased the figure 2.7% year-over-year, while gross operating profit fell 6.8% to $11.1m. Bally’s managed to produce $47.5m of net revenue for Q2 but decreased 3%, as gross operating profit fell 8.8% to $2.1m.
Resorts and Golden Nugget reported respective net revenue decreases of 20.3% and 6% to $39.6m and $36.3m, while gross operating profit for the two entities totaled $473,000 and $2.9m, equating to falls of 95.2% and 43%.
Hotel occupancy rate in New Jersey was reported to be 73.2% for Q2 by the DGE, representing a rise of 0.6 percentage points.

For H1 2026, net revenue increased 0.2% to $1.57bn, but gross operating profit once again decreased from the prior year period by 15.5% to $269.6m. Occupancy rate during the half-year period totaled 69%, having increased by 1.2% percentage points.
Borgata once again led the way with $400.8m of net revenue and increased 4.1%, although gross operating profit fell 10.2% to $99.9m. Hard Rock generated $276.3m of net revenue during H1 and decreased 3%, as gross operating profit fell 16.9% to $48.9m.
Ocean Casino accounted for $257.8m of net revenue and managed to climb 6.1%, even while gross operating perfect declined 0.9% to $48.9m. Harrah’s produced $138.9m of net revenue for growth of 8%, as gross operating profit fell 10.4% to $24.6m.
Tropicana’s net revenue for H1 2026 totaled $124m and decreased 3.2%, followed by gross operating profit which fell 24.4% to $21.4m. Caesars managed to grow net revenue 8.9% to $123.5m, as well as gross operating profit by 11.1% to $17.9m.
Bally’s produced $89.1m of New Jersey’s total net revenue for H1 and fell 1.7%, as gross operating profit reached $1.3m and remained stagnant. Resorts accounted for $77m of net revenue and $1.4m of gross operating profit, equating to decreases of 14.6% and 90%.
Golden Nugget capped off H1 2026 by generating $66.8m of net revenue and decreasing 8.3%, while gross operating profit for the Atlantic City property fell 85.8% to $1.1m.
