Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has been officially recognised by Uzbekistan's National Agency of Perspective Projects (NAPP) as one of the testing laboratories whose certification reports are accepted under the country's new gaming regulatory framework.
The approval allows gaming operators and suppliers to use GLI certification reports when launching products in Uzbekistan, providing a recognised route to regulatory compliance as the Central Asian market begins commercial operations.
According to GLI, Uzbekistan has entered its operational phase, with four licenses already issued across two operators, marking the next stage in the country's regulated gaming industry.
The listing strengthens GLI's presence in emerging regulated markets and expands its role as a testing and certification provider for jurisdictions developing new gaming frameworks.
Earlier this month, representatives from GLI and NAPP met to discuss the implementation of Uzbekistan's regulatory model and how the company could support the market's long-term development. GLI said it remains in active discussions with the regulator as elements of the technical framework continue to be refined.
The latest approval follows a series of regulatory milestones for the company in 2026. In March, GLI became the first independent iGaming testing laboratory accredited by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) under the country's new supplier accreditation framework.
During the same month, GLI also became the first foreign organization accredited by Ukraine's gambling regulator, PlayCity, to test and certify gaming hardware and software through its European subsidiary, GLI Europe B.V.
Founded in 1989, GLI provides testing, inspection and certification services for land-based gaming, lottery and iGaming products. The company said it has certified nearly 2 million products, tested equipment across more than 710 jurisdictions, and approved over 5.3 million gaming components through its global network of laboratories.
The Uzbekistan approval further extends GLI's footprint as more jurisdictions introduce regulated gaming markets and seek internationally recognised technical certification standards.
