After becoming the first-ever independent iGaming testing laboratory accredited by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has received an inaugural accreditation in Ukraine to test all gaming related hardware.
GLI will perform testing and certification of all gaming related hardware and software under the requirements of PlayCity, Ukraine’s gambling regulator, and the country’s regulatory framework through its European operational hub, GLI Europe B.V.
“We are grateful for the trust PlayCity has placed in GLI. At GLI, we work with regulators in more than 710 jurisdictions, and we will bring our global expertise to PlayCity and to suppliers who wish to enter the Ukrainian market, guaranteeing the highest levels of testing quality and compliance,” GLI EMEIA Managing Director James Boje said.
PlayCity accredited GLI Europe B.V. as both a testing/certification and inspection body for Ukraine’s gambling equipment, representing the only foreign entity to gain accreditation from the regulator.
GLI stated it plans to work with both foreign and Ukraine-based gaming suppliers which have previously received a certificate of approval from PlayCity.
The Philippines accreditation authorizes GLI to evaluate submissions under its “GLI Standard Series GLI-19: Standards for Interactive Gaming Systems,” a framework widely adopted by gaming regulators worldwide.
PAGCOR has begun requiring all iGaming B2B suppliers currently operating in the country to secure accreditation which then ensures compliance with regulatory and responsible gaming standards.
“Regulated gaming markets ensure a safer and more sustainable gaming industry for all to participate in,” PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco said.
“We are pleased to acknowledge GLI as the first testing and game certification provider to be accredited in the Philippines under this new framework.”
PlayCity also recently launched a responsible gambling section on its website, featuring educational resources such as an interactive quiz for users and a self-exclusion form.
