Holland Casino has reported its financial results for the first half of the year
The operator reported a steady income figure alongside marginally increased turnover
It also outlined that inflated tax and operating costs led to a €6.1m loss for the period

Holland Casino has released its latest financial results for the first half of 2026, highlighting a revenue figure of €391.2m ($465.3m) for the period.

Indeed, the operator has stated that this revenue figure remains 'stable' in comparison with results from the first half of 2025, complemented by a marginal year-on-year increase in overall turnover to €361.5m. Online turnover, however, dropped by 3.7% compared to results from the prior year, settling at a figure of €29.7m.

With overall visits in the year's first half amounting to over 2.5 million, Holland Casino's reported H1 2026 gross income also settled at €391.2m, up marginally from the €390.9m recorded in the first half of 2025. This latest development falls in the wake of Holland Casino posting €33m in pre-tax profit for 2025, a release which came in April alongside a warning of structural pressures ahead.

Overall, Holland Casino also reported a loss of €6.1m before corporate income tax for the first half of the year, a result which, according to the operator, was influenced by rising gambling taxes and inflated costs. More specifically, the company outlined that the second increase in gambling taxes cost an estimated €13.8m.

Nevertheless, Holland Casino also outlined that it was able to reduce its tax debt figure from €147.2m to €112.5m during H1 despite the Netherlands’ recently inflated 37.8% gambling tax rate.

Speaking on these latest results was Holland Casino CEO Petra de Ruiter, who said: "Our guests still know where to find us and our employees provide a hospitable, safe and responsible playing environment every day. In doing so, we are fulfilling our most important social mission.

"The measures we have taken in the past period to absorb rising costs are showing an effect. But we note that the financial pressure on our results is increasing further. This requires us to continue to take a critical look at how we can keep Holland Casino financially healthy and future-proof in the longer term."

Earlier this month, Holland Casino also unveiled that it had secured a five-year licence renewal for its online operations in the Netherlands.
