Resort aims to strengthen Phu Quoc's tourism development through expanded access

Corona Resort & Casino Phu Quoc has reopened its gaming floor to Vietnamese guests following the lifting of a temporary suspension under Decree 145/2024. The complex resumed domestic access on 26 November as part of a broader strategy to expand market reach and strengthen Vietnam's tourism offering.

The facility, located in the north of Phu Quoc Island, had been restricted to foreign visitors during the suspension period. According to the operator, the return of Vietnamese guests complies fully with new legal provisions that allow eligible citizens to participate in regulated gambling under Resolution No 08/2025.

The resort remains the only legally licensed casino in the country authorised to admit both domestic and international players.

The reopening is positioned as a significant step in the operator's long-term development plan. Beyond its gaming facilities, Corona Resort & Casino forms part of a large integrated tourism complex that includes five-star accommodation, a theatre, retail zones, dining areas and various leisure attractions.

The operator emphasised that resuming service to Vietnamese patrons aims to support Phu Quoc's wider tourism economy and enhance the diversity of high-quality offerings available in the region.

The resort also highlighted operational upgrades introduced during the suspension period. These include strengthened service standards, further staff training and enhanced safety measures.

The complex reported stable and efficient operations with strong international visitation over the past year, and is now seeking to bring a more personalised and refined experience to domestic visitors.

Corona Resort & Casino said it looks forward to welcoming Vietnamese guests as key partners in its growth strategy. The operator stated that the integrated resort aims to serve as a premier destination for both leisure and entertainment, offering visitors a balanced day and night experience supported by world-class service.
