Zurakov described prediction markets as ‘rapidly developing into a significant new institutional trading vertical’
In his new role, the executive will build and scale Sportradar’s prediction market business and connect the vertical to sports data

Sportradar has appointed Daniel Zurakov as the organization’s new VP of Prediction Markets, less than a month after expanding its sports data partnership with Polymarket to more than 20 leagues and competitions.

In his new role, Zurakov will build and scale Sportradar’s prediction market business and connect the vertical to sports data, having previously served as VP of Markets for ProphetX for nearly 10 months prior to taking on the new position.

“Prediction markets are rapidly developing into a significant new institutional trading vertical, and Sportradar is uniquely positioned to help power that evolution with its world-class sports data, technology and global reach,” Zurakov said.

“I’m looking forward to helping build and scale the business, expand the ecosystem and connect the next generation of markets with the gold standard in sports data.”

Zurakov also served as COO & Director of Product for Kapital Trading from June 2020 to December 2025, as well as Trading Director of NHL & MLB at GameDay Trading for nearly three years.

As part of its enhanced collaboration with Polymarket, the deal expands the prediction market operator’s offering to soccer, basketball and tennis. The coverage includes Germany’s Bundesliga, Euroleague Basketball, the Chinese Basketball Association, the National Basketball League, tennis Grand Slams and UTR Pro events.

On September 14, DAZN appointed former Sportradar CFO Alex Gersh as its new Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Darren Waterman who will move into a newly created CBO position.

Gersh reports directly to DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev, who said the move positions DAZN's leadership team for what he described as an exciting new chapter of profitable growth, with the platform now available in more than 200 markets.
