Interblock Gaming has appointed Cathryn Lai as its new Chief Product Officer, where she will lead global product strategy and oversee the supplier’s online business to provide an omnichannel experience for players. 

“Cathryn brings more than 15 years of gaming industry experience, having held leadership positions across product management, commercial, operations and marketing,” Interblock stated within the release. 

“Her extensive expertise in both land-based and digital gaming will play a key role in accelerating Interblock's continued growth and strengthening our position as an industry leader.”

Lai originally served as Senior Director of Product Management at WMS Gaming from 2008-2015 before joining Scientific Games in the VP of Products and Strategy role. 

From there, the products executive held the SVP and GM positions for Scientific Games’ US digital business, having been responsible for the commercial, product, strategy and operations of the supplier’s iGaming and sports betting verticals. 

Lai then moved on to OpenBet where she took over the CCO role in October 2021, remaining with the organization for just over three years. Most recently, Lai served as COO of Sands Digital, the online arm of Las Vegas Sands Corp. 

Currently, Lai also works as an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University while she looks to obtain her Master’s Degree in Engineering Management, Digital Transformation and Product Management. 

On August 18, Interblock also announced the appointment of Kristin Bisignano as its new Chief People & Culture Officer, signifying an enhanced focus on HR functions for the supplier. 

As part of her new role, Bisignano will utilize her prior experience to help drive employee wellness standards, alongside overseeing Interblock’s global HR strategy via the development of employee development and strategic initiatives.
