The Betsson Group has officially announced the creation of the Betsson Foundation, combining the company's charitable initiatives under one organisation.
Previously, the Group contributed to a wide range of organisations and developed community-focused initiatives through its partnerships with leading football clubs and athletes.
The aim is to focus these charitable activities through the Foundation, allowing for a more coordinated impact across the various markets Betsson serves around the world.
Jesper Svensson, CEO of Betsson Operations, stated: "Sport and community engagement have long been part of Betsson’s DNA. The launch of the Betsson Foundation strengthens our ability to support the people, programmes and organisations making a positive difference in our communities.
"It also gives us the opportunity to work even more closely with our clubs and athlete partners to connect the power and reach of sport with meaningful community initiatives."
Earlier this year, Betsson Greece held an anti-bullying seminar focused on sport, workplace conduct and women's professional development. The event, which was held with the Greek Association of Women Entrepreneurs (S.E.G.E), was part of a wider programme launched under the slogan: "Say no to fear. No to bullying. We bet we can."
Furthermore, in Spain, the Group donated its Champions League front-of-shirt sponsorship to promote a regional blood and plasma drive.
Jonna Danlund, Director of ESG, concluded: "Through the Betsson Foundation, we aim to create lasting positive impact by supporting worthy causes, fostering long-term partnerships, and bringing together initiatives that strengthen communities across our locations."
In August, Betsson completed the acquisition of Rhino Entertainment Group's B2C business in Canada
