Two major casino operators in Da Nang contributed more than VND1.2tn ($46m) in taxes through August 2026, as the Vietnamese city recorded growth across tourism, investment and state revenue.
Nam Hoi An Development paid VND879bn, while Silver Shores Investment and Development contributed VND359bn.
The casino operators were among several large businesses making significant tax contributions. Vinpearl paid more than VND12.3trn through August, while Truong Hai Group contributed nearly VND7.5trn and Asia Park paid VND7.2trn.
The figures came as Da Nang's gross regional domestic product grew 10.31% year over year during the first nine months of 2026, supported by services, tourism and investment.
The city recorded approximately 15.86 million overnight visitors, an increase of 26.4%. International arrivals rose 28.7% to more than 7.73 million, while domestic visitors reached nearly 8.13 million.
Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage and travel services totaled nearly VND57trn, representing growth of more than 25%.
Investment also increased during the period. Total social investment reached an estimated VND88trn, up more than 42%, while non-state investment grew by more than 60%.
Da Nang attracted around VND187.6trn in newly registered and additional domestic investment as of September 20. Foreign direct investment more than doubled to $686.6m, including 111 newly licensed projects with combined registered capital of $523.4m.
By September 25, state budget revenue had reached VND69.16trn, an increase of 71.4% year over year. Domestic sources accounted for more than 93% of the total as the city increased spending on development investment and public services.
