BetMakers Technology Group has entered into a landmark five-year exclusive agreement with Betfair Australia to become the sole technology provider for CrownBet, a premium wagering brand set to launch in the first quarter of calendar year 2026.

Under the deal, BetMakers will provide its complete end-to-end wagering stack, centred on a fully customised deployment of its Apollo platform. The package includes trading and risk services, a proprietary content engine and core Apollo technology, positioning BetMakers as the operational backbone of the CrownBet product from day one.

BetMakers described the partnership as the most significant commercial milestone for the Apollo platform and a major validation of its strategy to deliver a vertically integrated B2B solution to Tier-1 operators.

The agreement also establishes a key strategic alignment with Betfair and Crown Resorts, one of Australia's largest entertainment groups.

Commercial terms feature a combination of fixed fees and revenue share, a structure aimed at expanding recurring revenue while linking BetMakers long-term performance to CrownBet's market growth. Platform activation work and regulatory preparations have already begun ahead of the planned early-2026 launch.

BetMakers COO Martin Tripp said the partnership underscored the scalability and flexibility of Apollo, adding that the collaboration with Betfair's experienced internal team would help deliver a competitive fixed odds product in the Australian market.

Betfair CEO Amy Zavros said BetMakers had emerged as the clear choice after a detailed evaluation process, noting the need for a technology partner capable of delivering a top-tier product at scale.

According to a separate media statement, Responsible Wagering Australia confirmed CrownBet will join its membership once live, noting that the brand's arrival strengthens Australia's collective commitment to a well-regulated responsible wagering environment.

CrownBet will sit alongside Betfair's existing betting exchange to broaden customer choice and reinforce Betfair's position as a key player in the national wagering landscape.
