Caixa has announced a two-year extension of sponsorship of the Brazilian Basketball League
Caixa Loterias invests around BR2bn ($370m) annually in national sports

Caixa will extend its sponsorship of the Brazilian Basketball League (LNB) for two extra years.

The agreement strengthens the league's strategic initiatives by enhancing the technical development of teams, expanding media and digital visibility, cultivating audiences and supporting social responsibility programmes.

It also plans to reinforce efforts to improve governance standards and elevate athlete recognition within national basketball.

"The importance of the support from lotteries and Caixa in national sports, not just basketball, is enormous. They invest approximately BR2bn ($370m) per year in Brazilian sports. This is the greatest boost to national sports," stated Rodrigo Franco Montoro, LNB president.

Renato Silva Siqueira, CEO of Caixa Loterias, highlighted that the institution's involvement in Brazilian sport has long-standing roots.

"The sponsorship of Brazilian sports by Caixa has been going on for a long time. We guarantee both Olympic and Paralympic sports throughout the Olympic cycle. Being here, sponsoring our main basketball league, is fundamental," he said.

This renewed sponsorship also reinforces Caixa's strategy of aligning its social investment agenda with high-impact national sports initiatives.

"We love sports, we love basketball. This is a long-standing partnership and we will continue together in this. It is very important for us, as a brand, because it brings the guarantee of sports from the grassroots to the top," stated Siqueira.

With this initiative, LNB and Loterias Caixa reaffirm their shared objectives and project a cycle of continuous, solid and sustainable growth for Brazilian sports.
