The Wyoming Gaming Commission (WGC) has begun participating in the National Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program (NVSEP), which prohibits access to multiple forms of wagering, such as online sports betting, pari-mutuel wagering and skill-based amusement games.

"The Wyoming Gaming Commission is committed to fostering an environment of integrity, fairness and player protection for all participants," WGC Executive Director Nick Larramendy said.

"Joining NVSEP furthers our efforts by delivering a unified platform, making self-exclusion more accessible and providing wider geographical coverage than ever before for individuals who feel it is the right step."

The self-exclusion program, which features technology provided by idPair, includes online enrollment as well as reinstatement, a multi-jurisdictional model and support resources.

The Wyoming regulator chose to join NVSEP to provide a "convenient, centralized resource" for residents who prefer to voluntarily restrict access to gambling operations across participating jurisdictions.

"I commend the state of Wyoming for embracing the shared commitment to player health that NVSEP represents," idPair CEO Jonathan Aiwazian said.

"To be effective, we must provide people with tools that travel with them. Problem gambling does not stop at the state border, and now, neither will self-exclusion protection."

Enrollment for the self-exclusion program is now available on the WGC website for residents, as well as an updated directory of local and national support resources.

In May 2025, the WGC issued a direct warning to residents and visitors regarding illegal iGaming operators that may be conducting business without proper licensing or regulation.

Despite the legality of online sports wagering and fantasy sports in Wyoming, online casino games like slots, blackjack and roulette for real money remain strictly prohibited under current legislation.
