Eureka Casino Resort unveiled its new Onyx Lounge on December 10, a private space available to Gold Club members who have managed to reach the Onyx rewards tier.

Described as a "quiet, elevated retreat" by Eureka Casinos, the exclusive space features gold accents, an onyx backsplash, food and beverage selections and a glass-drop chandelier.

The launch is part of Eureka Casino Resort's ongoing $100m remodel, which began last year and featured the unveiling of a reimagined Gregory's Mesquite Grill in December 2024.

"We're building a more refined and comfortable resort experience, and the Onyx Lounge is a great example of that," Eureka Casinos CEO Andre Carrier said.

"Our most loyal guests deserve a space where they can relax, recharge, and feel appreciated. As we continue this $100m transformation, our focus stays on creating places and moments that feel special."

Eureka Casinos represents the only 100% employee-owned casino company in the US, and will also undergo a full remodel of its casino floor, which offers slots, video poker, table games and the largest sportsbook in Mesquite, Nevada.

The property will also "refresh" its hotel rooms and feature an updated exterior design as part of the $100m renovation.

Carrier also went on to state the new Onyx Lounge "reflects the direction of the resort's broader reinvestment," which goes beyond property-wide improvements to showcase a "long-term commitment to its guests, employee-owners, and the entire Mesquite community."

On November 13, the MGM Grand in Las Vegas officially completed a $300m transformation of 3,969 entirely new rooms and suites within its main tower, designed in partnership between global architecture firm Gensler and MGM Resorts Design & Development.

The room and suite transformation features interior designs said to be inspired by the "glamour and energy" of the disco era to embrace MGM Grand's "vibrant" legacy.
