Flutter will have a new face in the boardroom from May 29 next year, with Sally Susman taking her place as a Non-Executive Director.
Susman has enjoyed a long career in senior executive roles at major organizations including, American Express, Estée Lauder and most recently Pfizer.
Her role at Pfizer, EVP and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, has been one she's held since 2007 and her responsibilities included the provision of strategic guidance to the CEO and a seat on the executive committee.
At Flutter she will perform a similar advisory function and hope to make her years of corporate affairs experience count.
The operator's announcement states that Susman will serve as an Independent Director in accordance with New York Stock Exchange listing standards.
John Bryant, Chair of the Board at Flutter, said: "We are delighted to welcome Sally as a Non-Executive Director. Sally's appointment is in line with our Board renewal program having regard to the scale, geographic breadth and growth of the business."
Next May will bring the company's Annual General Meeting and Susman's new role will become effective from its conclusion.
Susman is currently also a Non-Executive Director at UL Solutions but does not as yet have any explicit gambling industry experience behind her.
Bryant concluded his comments by saying: "We look forward to Sally joining the Flutter Board and contributing to the Company's future."
