Independent slots developer Thunderkick has expanded its Canadian operations through a content supply agreement with PointsBet in Ontario, marking the next step in the studio's North American growth strategy.
The Stockholm-based supplier entered the Canadian market eighteen months ago and has since secured multiple commercial partnerships as it works to establish a foothold in the region.
The PointsBet deal will see Thunderkick's portfolio integrated into the operator's Ontario platform, beginning with titles including Carnival Queen 2, Midas Golden Touch 3 and Esqueleto Explosivo 3 - with additional games scheduled to follow.
Commenting on the new deal, Svante Sahlström, CCO at Thunderkick stated: "Since its Canadian launch, PointsBet has forged relationships rooted in the country's cultural identity, which firmly aligns with Thunderkick's core philosophy of going deeper, not wider.
"It is a reputable and recognised brand across the globe, and we look forward to supporting its continued North American growth with our class-leading content."
Brooke Hilton, Head of Casino at PointsBet Canada, added: "PointsBet has made a point of distinguishing itself from the crowd, from our local on-the-ground presence in Ontario to our premium online casino portfolio.
"We strive to partner with the very best, and when it comes to casino content, the addition of Thunderkick's slots will enable us to continue providing players across the province with diverse, impactful gaming experiences."
The collaboration comes amid a broader period of activity for PointsBet in Ontario. In recent months, the operator has partnered with live casino supplier Ezugi to expand its live-dealer offering, while continuing to evolve its platform following Mixi Australia's acquisition of a controlling stake in the business.
