Sportradar has announced that Breon Corcoran has officially been appointed as the supplier's latest member of the Board of Directors, formally having stepped into the role last week.
Indeed, Corcoran brings a wealth of gaming, sports and executive leadership experience to Sportradar's board, having served as the former Chairman of Auction Technology Group's Board for two years - as well as having enjoyed long-term professional stints at the likes of Paddy Power and Betfair. Currently serving as the CEO of IG Group, Corcoran's role as a Sportradar Board member will see him assist in the operational decision-making process of the business, among other things.
Commenting on his appointment, Corcoran stated: "Sportradar has built an impressive business in sports technology, and its potential for continued expansion and innovation is enormous. With my background in betting, gaming and fintech, I am looking forward to working with Jeff, Carsten, and the rest of the Board of Directors to contribute to the company's journey and help drive long term value for its stakeholders."
Building on this sentiment was BOD Chair Jeffery Yabuki, who said: "Breon has a wealth of leadership experience across multiple industries including a deep understanding of the sports technology and data landscape which will be invaluable to our Board and management. We are thrilled to have him join our Board."
This latest news falls in the wake of several significant updates for Sportradar this quarter, which began with the company becoming one of the first licensed suppliers to enter the UAE market in October. Further, last month the organisation also closed its IMG Arena merger and reported a Q3 revenue figure of €292.1m ($343.5m), up 14% year-on-year.
Also speaking on this Corcoran's appointment was Carsten Koerl, Sportradar CEO, who stated: "Breon joins our Board at an exciting time as we continue to innovate in sports technology and expand our global footprint. His proven leadership and deep industry experience will help guide us as we advance our strategic priorities, enhance operational excellence and maximise value creation."
Last week saw Sportradar extend its partnership with the Paraná Football Federation for the expansion of online education initiatives against match-fixing
