The California Nations Indian Gaming Association (CNIGA) and its 57 Tribal members have re-elected Chairman James Siva, as well as multiple members of the Association's executive committee.
Alongside Chairman Siva, CNIGA Executive Committee Treasurer Isaiah Vivanco was also re-elected on December 16, with both having run unopposed for their current titles.
"I am deeply grateful that the membership of CNIGA has placed their trust in me to continue to lead this dynamic and growing organization," Chairman Siva said.
"I'm pleased that our membership has grown over the past few years to now include the majority of California's federally recognized tribes. My goal is to continue to grow our organization through inclusivity and continue to work toward unity of purpose to defend the sovereign rights of all federally recognized tribal governments."
CNIGA's Tribal members also re-elected regional representatives such as Jack Potter, Joshua Muse and Chris Creasey, as well as Vice Chairman Mike Lopez and Secretary Crystal Chalk.
Vivanco spoke on his re-appointment as CNIGA Treasurer, having said, "I am very honored and humbled to continue my service to CNIGA and look forward to furthering the work of securing tribal sovereign rights and advancing our industry, which is derived from those very rights."
Potter currently serves as Chairman of the Redding Rancheria Tribe, while Muse holds the position of Vice Chairman for the Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Nation.
Dale Miller, CNIGA's Northern District at-large Representative, and Central District at-large Representative Michael Vasquez were also re-elected to their respective positions as part of the organization's annual meeting.
