Entain has released new data showing a sharp increase in betting activity linked to boxer and content creator Jake Paul. These figures come at a time when Entain announced that Michael Snape will succeed Rob Wood as CFO in March 2026.
The surge in activity is being attributed to changes in how audiences engage with boxing. Entain points to crossover fights, celebrity involvement and expanded media exposure as key factors driving renewed attention to the sport.
Since Paul's first boxing appearance against Deji Olatunji, betting volumes connected to his fights have risen by 240%. Entain says this growth has continued steadily through subsequent bouts, including his most recent contest against Julio César Chávez Jr.
Entain confirmed that three of Paul's bouts rank among the ten most bet-on boxing matches ever recorded across its global sportsbook platforms.
Alan Vye, Entain's Head of Global Sports, stated: "Never underestimate US punters, they'll be backing Paul in big numbers. It's one of the most lopsided boxing fights in recent memory, but Paul's attracting huge backing from both sides of the Atlantic."
Adam Williamson, Head of Boxing at Entain, added: "Andy Ruiz Jr was a 9/1 shot when he beat Joshua, and memories of Joshua's surprise knockout loss to Dubois at 7/2 are still fresh."
Elsewhere, Bally's and BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing have unveiled a 360 partnership while Betfred had been confirmed as headline sponsor for the Eubank Jr v Benn 2 rematch.
Netflix previously reported that 60 million households worldwide tuned in live to watch Paul's fight with Mike Tyson
