The Bingo Association (BA) has appointed Nicole Garrett as its new CEO, effective later this year.
As part of this role, Garrett will also become CEO of the National Bingo Game Association (NBGA) and Meeron Limited.
She will succeed Miles Baron, who has held the role for over 13 years and will step down at the end of June.
The BA, NBGA and Meeron Chairmen commented: “We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Nicole Garrett as our new CEO.
“Nicole brings an exceptional breadth of experience from across the wider gaming sector, with a strong track record in policy development, regulatory engagement, and responsible gaming.
“We are confident she will provide outstanding leadership as the bingo industry navigates an evolving regulatory and commercial landscape.”
Prior to her appointment, Garrett was the Group Head of Responsible Gaming at Allwyn.
During this time, she pushed for responsible campaigns aimed at Gen Z audiences that made safe play feel empowering, not restrictive.
In this new role, she will bring her knowledge of Gen Z marketing, as well as responsible gambling, to the world of bingo.
She has also been the Head of Public and Corporate Affairs at bet365, the Head of Policy and Regulatory Affairs at the Betting and Gaming Council, and the Manager of Public Affairs at Weber Shandwick.
On her appointment, Garrett said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Bingo Association, the National Bingo Game Association and Meeron at such an important time for the bingo industry.
“Bingo plays a unique and valued role within local communities, and I am very much looking forward to working closely with members and stakeholders to support the sector and help shape its future.”
In the recent UK Budget, it was revealed that bingo duty would be abolished entirely by April 2026, marking a new era for the game.
Garrett began her career as a Senior Parliamentary Assistant at the House of Commons in 2015
