Island View Casino Resort has gone live with IGT’s PlaySports retail sports betting technology, enabling patrons at both Island View and Beach View Casino Resorts in Gulfport, Mississippi, to place in-person sports wagers using a combination of staffed counters and self-service kiosks.
Under the deployment, Island View is using the IGT PlaySports platform to offer a range of sports betting markets across its two casino properties.
In addition to the core technology, IGT’s Trading Advisory Services team will support the operator with trading operations, menu localization and offer optimization, aimed at aligning betting products with local market demand.
Peter Smith, Sportsbook Manager at Island View Casino Resort, said: “This launch with IGT PlaySports propels our ongoing initiative to enhance the sports betting experiences for our patrons.”
Smith added: “IGT PlaySports’ proven technology and experienced trading advisory team will engage patrons in more meaningful ways, while the reliability of the platform will help drive value across our properties.”
The rollout marks another expansion for IGT PlaySports in Mississippi, where the supplier already provides sports betting technology to multiple operators.
Retail sports wagering has been legal in the state since 2018, with casino-based sportsbooks forming the core of the market.
Joe Bertolone, IGT SVP of Sports Betting, said: “IGT PlaySports and Island View Casino Resort are working together to deliver a world-class sports betting experience that is aligned with local market opportunities and player preferences.”
Bertolone added: “As a preferred supplier in the region, IGT PlaySports continues to build its presence in key states.”
IGT PlaySports operates as a business-to-business sports betting supplier across North America, providing technology, trading, and operational support to land-based and digital sportsbooks.
The platform has been deployed in a number of regulated US jurisdictions and supports both retail and online betting environments, depending on market structure.
The Island View launch comes as IGT continues to align product development and technology execution following its merger with Everi Holdings in 2025.
In January 2026, IGT appointed Andy Hendrickson as Chief Product and Technology Officer as part of its post-merger integration strategy with Everi. The move was positioned as a step toward tighter alignment between product development and technology delivery, supporting IGT’s sportsbook, gaming, and financial solutions portfolio.
Mississippi remains one of the few US states where sports betting is limited to in-person wagering at licensed casino properties, with no statewide mobile betting currently permitted
