Ani Mkrtchyan continues as Chief Sales Officer, ensuring commercial continuity

Digitain has confirmed a senior leadership transition, with Iain Hutchison moving from his position as Chief Revenue Officer into a Non-Executive Director role.

The change was announced by Hutchison via LinkedIn earlier today and comes as the supplier continues to advance its strategy focused on regulated markets and long-term growth.

Hutchison joined Digitain as Chief Revenue Officer in February 2023 and has spent the past three years overseeing the company’s commercial expansion during a period of heightened regulatory scrutiny across the global gambling sector.

In his new position, Hutchison will remain involved with the business at the board level, providing strategic oversight and advisory support rather than day-to-day operational leadership.

With more than three decades of experience spanning gambling, sports data, media and advertising, Hutchison brings an extensive commercial background to Digitain’s board. His previous senior roles include long tenures at Genius Sports, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer, and earlier leadership positions across media and technology-focused businesses.

Hutchison also confirmed that Ani Mkrtchyan will remain in her role as Chief Sales Officer where she is responsible for leading the company’s sales and commercial functions – stating that her ongoing leadership will support momentum as the supplier builds on recent regulatory and licensing milestones.

Looking back on his tenure, Hutchinson commented: “Digitain has entered a defining era, with a clear ambition to strengthen its position across regulated markets and accelerate sustainable global growth. I look back with immense pride at what we have built together and remain deeply committed to contributing to the company’s future success from a governance and advisory perspective.

“Digitain’s trajectory has never been stronger, and I am confident that the company’s most exciting milestones are still ahead.”

The transition follows a period of regulatory progress for Digitain. Earlier this month, the company secured Gambling Commission certification for its sportsbook and platform, alongside a UK betting licence covering real and virtual events. Shortly prior to this, Digitain also obtained an Isle of Man iGaming software supplier licence.
