Sportradar has announced a multi-year partnership with NBC Sports Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) to enhance NBA live broadcasts through advanced data visualisation and real-time storytelling tools.
The agreement will cover the 2025–26 and 2026–27 NBA seasons and applies to hundreds of live NBA telecasts across NBC Sports’ regional networks in multiple US markets.
Under the terms of the deal, NBC Sports RSNs will integrate Sportradar’s NBA Advanced Data and GameFrame solutions into live game coverage.
The partnership is designed to provide viewers with more detailed, data-driven insights during broadcasts, supporting analysis and storytelling throughout live NBA action.
GameFrame is powered by artificial intelligence and uses live player-tracking data to generate on-air graphics, animated replays, shot charts and other visual assets in real time. These elements are intended to help broadcast teams explain plays, player movement and tactical outcomes as games unfold, offering additional context without interrupting live coverage.
Commenting on the deal, Brian Josephs, Sportradar VP for the Americas, stated: “This agreement builds upon our long-standing relationship with NBC and reflects how we continue to expand the ways we support their live sports coverage.
“As NBC continues to evolve how it serves fans across platforms, Sportradar is helping deliver the data-driven tools that bring greater clarity and context to live games, creating more engaging NBA viewing experiences for fans.”
Jon Slobotkin, NBC Sports Regional Networks SVP of Content & Live Programming, added: “Enhancing the viewing experience is essential to our NBA coverage across regional sports networks.
“Sportradar’s GameFrame offers a new way to add data-driven insights directly into live coverage, bringing visually stunning stories that resonate with today’s fans.”
The agreement follows a string of activity from Sportradar. Earlier this month, the company renewed its partnership with Betfred to upgrade the retail platform technology supporting the operator's 1,300 UK shops.
Additionally, in January, Brian Josephs was promoted to VP of the Americas after a decade with the supplier, having previously served as VP of North America.
