Kambi Group has entered into a long-term agreement to provide its Turnkey Sportsbook solution to SuomiVeto, a new operator preparing to launch in Finland once the country transitions to a regulated licensing system in July 2027.
SuomiVeto is led by the team behind BetCity, which successfully entered the Dutch regulated market in 2021 with Kambi as its sportsbook partner. That collaboration supported BetCity’s growth into the Netherlands’ sports betting market.
The new partnership aims to replicate a similar market-entry strategy in Finland, combining targeted marketing with Kambi’s end-to-end sportsbook technology.
Under the agreement, Kambi will supply its full sportsbook platform, including pricing and trading services, compliance capabilities and a broad range of sports and betting markets.
The Turnkey Sportsbook also offers differentiation tools and operational support designed to help operators launch efficiently in newly regulated environments.
Commenting on the deal, Werner Becher, Kambi Group CEO, stated: “We are delighted to partner with SuomiVeto ahead of the launch of Finland’s regulated market. Their team has already demonstrated their ability to build a market-leading brand with BetCity, and we look forward to helping them replicate – and exceed – that success in Finland.
“With our Turnkey Sportsbook and extensive experience supporting launches in newly regulated markets, SuomiVeto will be well-positioned for long-term sportsbook growth.”
Melvin Bostelaar, Co-Founder of SuomiVeto, added: “When selecting a partner, we wanted to work with a true market leader – and that’s exactly what we have with Kambi. Their technology, expertise and operational excellence were instrumental to BetCity’s rapid growth, and we believe the same formula will set SuomiVeto up for success.
“Our ambition is to become one of Finland’s leading sportsbooks, and with Kambi’s Turnkey Sportsbook solution and our bold marketing strategy, we are confident we can achieve that from day one.”
Finland is set to open its licensing application process in March 2026, ahead of the planned market liberalisation in mid-2027. The shift will end the country’s long-standing monopoly model and introduce competition from private operators, creating new opportunities for technology providers and brands seeking early positioning.
The announcement follows recent Kambi partnerships, including its January completion of a transition to become OLG's official sportsbook provider in Ontario, and a December deal with Mexican operator Pickwin.
Finland's licence application window is scheduled to open in March 2026, with private operators expected to launch services from 1 July 2027 under the new regulatory framework
