Kambi Group has formally taken over contractual responsibility for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s multi-channel sportsbook after completing a novation agreement with FDJ Gaming Solutions France and OLG.
The transition marks the final step in a process first announced in 2025, when Kambi was selected to replace FDJ as OLG’s long-term sports betting technology partner, subject to regulatory approvals and the fulfillment of specific conditions.
With those conditions now satisfied, Kambi has assumed full responsibility for delivering sports betting services across OLG’s retail and digital platforms.
OLG confirmed that its sportsbook, powered by Kambi’s Turnkey Sportsbook solution, officially went live on January 27.
The operator offers sports wagering through its retail Proline brand and the Proline+ online platform, with all profits reinvested into public programs and services across Ontario.
Under the agreement, Kambi will provide the underlying sportsbook technology and associated services supporting both channels. The arrangement covers trading, risk management, platform infrastructure and compliance functions required to operate within Ontario’s regulated market.
Kambi Group CEO, Werner Becher, said: “We are delighted to have officially completed this transition and to begin this next chapter of our partnership with OLG.”
Becher added: “Having met the necessary conditions of the novation agreement, Kambi is excited to become the official sportsbook provider and to have launched with one of the world’s most respected lottery operators.”
OLG President and CEO, Duncan Hannay, said: “OLG strives to provide a market leading PROLINE sports betting experience for our players.”
Hannay added: “We look forward to working alongside our new partner, Kambi, who offers a proven track record of product excellence and reliability, as we deliver on our commitment to give back to the people and communities of Ontario.”
The transition consolidates Kambi’s presence in the North American lottery and sports betting sector, where state and provincial lottery operators continue to play a central role in regulated wagering markets. For OLG, the move aligns with its broader digital and retail modernization strategy across gaming verticals.
Earlier this week, Brightstar Lottery deployed its Sales Wizard sales force automation platform at OLG, integrating the system with the operator’s central infrastructure to provide retail teams with real-time sales and performance data.
OLG operates one of the largest public gaming portfolios in North America, with profits from lottery and sports betting activities reinvested directly into provincial programs and community initiatives across Ontario
