Birches Health has announced the appointment of Cynthia Grant as its new VP of Clinical, as part of the expansion of its addiction treatment department.
Grant brings with her over two decades of experience in the health sector, with a specialized focus on mental health care throughout her career.
Now, as part of her new role, she will oversee all clinical strategy and execution at Birches Health, as the organization looks to further broaden its outreach and treatment access across the US.
With a PhD in Social Work and MBA from the University of Colorado Denver, Grant previously also helped to enhance clinical care operations across the US as a VP of Clinical Strategy for Grow Therapy and the Head of Clinical Care at Rula.
Commenting on her appointment, Grant stated: "Throughout my career, I've been drawn to work that expands access to high-quality mental health care.
"Behavioral addictions, including gambling, represent a growing national challenge, and specialty care is the next evolution in how we respond. Birches' commitment to this work is what drew me to the team, and I'm excited to help strengthen its clinical foundation as it scales.”
Building on this was Birches Health Founder and CEO, Elliott Rapaport, who said: "Dr Grant has dedicated her career to improving how behavioral health care is delivered, measured and supported, emerging as one of the industry's foremost clinical experts.
"Her leadership raises the ceiling of what Birches Health can deliver for patients, partners, and the broader US healthcare system."
This latest appointment follows an additional recent update from Birches Health las week, as the company was named a top 100 employer in the New York Digital Health 100 list.
