AMIG has launched the updated 2026 edition of its guide “Por Trás das Bets”
The guide is designed as an introductory tool for onboarding and internal training

AMIG, the Brazilian nonprofit association dedicated to promoting the presence and recognition of women in the online gaming industry, has launched the 2026 edition of its educational guide “Por Trás das Bets” ("Behind the Bets").

The publication aims to explain the regulatory structure of Brazil’s betting market in clear and accessible language, targeting professionals who operate or intend to operate within the sector but are not yet fully familiar with the country’s legal framework.

The guide was co-created with Elisa Lotufo Cintra Ferreira, a lawyer trained at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo with more than nine years of experience in civil litigation and significant work within the regulated betting market.

According to AMIG, the updated version translates complex regulation into practical guidance, outlining how the sector functions, which authorities oversee operations, who may legally operate and what obligations and risks are involved.

The first page of the document states that the material was developed for individuals entering the betting market who “do not yet master the Brazilian regulatory framework.”

It adds that the guide may serve as introductory content for onboarding processes and internal training programs.

AMIG positions itself as a technical knowledge hub and an initiative focused on inclusion and female leadership within the gaming sector.

The launch comes amid regulatory and social discussions surrounding betting oversight in Brazil, including recent awareness campaigns during Carnival that used lottery tickets to disseminate anti-harassment messaging nationwide.

AMIG’s publication is available for download in both Portuguese and English.

Ana Barbara Costa Teixeira, a prominent member of AMIG, is a Global Gaming Insider contributor.
