Macau has formalized several amendments to earlier Chief Executive orders that govern the currency exchange activities of major casino operators. The changes were published in the latest issue of the Official Gazette of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

According to the Gazette, the Chief Executive used the authority granted under Article 50 of the Basic Law to revise prior approvals that fall under Decree Law 39/97/M.

The first amendment concerns SJM Resorts. The company is now authorized, on its own account and risk, to conduct currency exchange at Casino Lisboa, Casino Grand Lisboa, Casino Grand Lisboa Palace, Casino Oceanus and Casino Le Royal Arc.

A separate order modifies the earlier authorization for Galaxy Entertainment. The operator is permitted to conduct currency exchange at Casino Star World, Casino Galaxy Macau and Casino Broadway.

A third amendment adjusts the approval granted to Melco Resorts. The company may undertake currency exchange at Casino Altira, Casino City of Dreams, Casino Studio City, Mocha Golden Dragon, Mocha Hotel Sintra and Mocha Porto Interior.

All amended orders take effect the day after publication which is February 13 2026. Each document is signed by Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai on February 12 2026.

The Gazette also includes unrelated legislative updates including the confirmation that a separate law will enter into force on June 1 2026.
