Brazilian operator Betbra has been announced as the new main sponsor of América-MG, with the agreement running until the end of the 2026 season.
The partnership covers the club’s participation in Brazil’s Série B championship and will see the Betbra brand displayed on the team’s kit.
The agreement also includes digital activations, fan engagement initiatives and brand visibility across the club’s facilities.
According to América-MG’s marketing and business director Bernard Romanelli, the partnership reflects shared ambitions between the two organizations.
“Betbra’s arrival as the main sponsor represents a union of purposes between two institutions that believe in planning, innovation, and growth,” he said, describing the agreement as a strategic partnership built on trust and innovation.
Betbra CEO Danilo Pereira also highlighted the company’s growth strategy and the importance of football partnerships for brand visibility.
“Betbra has a clear growth strategy. Our goal is to maintain the company's growing image by partnering with major successful brands in Brazil,” he said.
With the announcement, 11 clubs competing in Brazil’s 2026 Série B now have betting companies as their main shirt sponsors, reinforcing the continued presence of betting operators in Brazilian football sponsorships.
The partnership was revealed shortly after Brazil’s Congress rejected the proposed “CIDE-Bets” tax, which would have introduced an additional levy on betting companies.
Industry representatives had previously warned that higher taxation could reduce operators’ ability to invest in sponsorship agreements.
Betting sponsorships, however, remain widespread across the country’s football pyramid.
Playbet previously signed a main sponsorship deal with CSA, highlighting the sector’s continued presence in Brazilian football
