In the wake of a recent decision to wind down all Aristocrat Interactive White Label operations across the globe, GamingMalta has announced new measures taken to safeguard any Malta-based Aristocrat employees impacted by the change.

GamingMalta – a non-profit independent foundation – has specified as part of a statement via LinkedIn that it is actively engaging with a variety of entities in Malta to ensure any individuals affected by this decision remain supported and ultimately reappointed within the Maltese gambling landscape.

As such, the organisation has underlined the opening of a new discourse with the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), specifying that there are currently 1,200 open vacancies with licensed gambling operators in the nation – according to the regulator. GamingMalta has also highlighted additional potential opportunities outside of this circle with ‘ancillary companies’ that may remain outside of the MGA’s jurisdiction.

As outlined in GamingMalta’s full statement, the organisation said: “The professionals impacted bring valuable expertise from operating in highly regulated markets, and we are confident that Malta’s thriving gaming industry will present fresh opportunities as demand for experienced talent across compliance, payments, customer operations, and technology functions continues to be strong.

“The GamingMalta team is committed to offer full support during this transition and we will continue to work closely with industry partners to ensure that Malta remains not just a hub, but a home for gaming excellence - supporting both companies and talent alike. We encourage companies currently seeking experienced professionals to engage with us as we help connect talent with opportunity.”

Elsewhere recently in Malta, the MGA identified a systems breach last week, with the regulator launching an official internal investigation into activity linked to an individual claiming to be a security researcher.
