Sky River Casino has opened a new five-story parking structure in California, adding 1,600 parking spaces as Wilton Rancheria continues its wider resort development plan for the property.
The structure spans 681,263 square feet and connects to the operator's expanded 20,000 square foot gaming floor through an enhanced valet area and porte cochere.
Sky River Casino said the project is part of a multi-year strategy to develop the site into a full resort destination.
The parking structure was delivered after nearly two years of design-build work led by Clark Pacific. The operator said the next phase of development, scheduled for 2027, will be built by the AECOM Tishman-Yates Construction joint venture, which also worked on the original 315,000 square foot casino.
Sky River Casino President, Michael J Facenda, said: "Today signifies yet another step on our journey. With this garage now complete, guests can enjoy a seamless 'park-and-play' arrival from the moment they enter our property through the newly expanded gaming floor."
Wilton Rancheria Chairman, Jesus Tarango, said: "Economic progress is essential to the future of our Tribe and the community we serve. Every investment we make is about creating lasting opportunity, not only for Wilton Rancheria, but for the broader region."
The operator said the development is intended to support jobs, local business activity and visitor growth in Elk Grove and the wider Sacramento area. Wilton Rancheria also linked the expansion to its long-term approach to economic development and cultural preservation.
Planned additions in the 2027 phase include a 300-room hotel, a day spa, an outdoor pool, a 30,000-square-foot event and entertainment venue, expanded food and beverage outlets and enlarged high-limit and VIP gaming areas.
To mark the opening, the first 500 Sky River Rewards members to use the structure received a promotional gift.
Earlier this month, Sky River Casino opened its 20,000 square foot gaming floor expansion, adding 312 slot machines and lifting its total slot count to 2,500 as work continued on the parking structure and broader resort scheme.
The 2027 expansion is expected to add non-gaming amenities alongside new gaming and event space
