Sky River Casino has opened an expanded gaming floor in California, increasing its total slot machine count to 2,500 as construction continues on a new parking structure and future resort facilities.
The operator said the newly opened 20,000 square foot area adds 312 slot machines to the property and is intended to improve guest access as work progresses on a five-story parking structure with 1,600 spaces. The project also includes an enhanced valet area and a future porte cochere.
Sky River Casino President and GM, Michael J. Facenda, said: “We are committed to providing our guests with an immediate sense of convenience as they step into our newly expanded gaming floor.”
The expanded area continues design themes already used across the property, including acorn inspired chandeliers and carpeting tied to the cultural heritage of Wilton Rancheria and the Miwok and Nisenan peoples.
Wilton Rancheria Chairman, Jesus Tarango, said: “This moment reflects Wilton Rancheria’s pledge to honor our heritage while creating new opportunities for the future.”
Sky River Casino said the additional gaming space includes new slot titles such as Buffalo Gold Collection, Dancing Drums Link Fortune and Dragon Spin Saga. Fire & Water.
The operator also linked the gaming floor opening to its longer-term development plan. In 2027, the property is expected to expand into a full resort with a 300-room hotel, a day spa, an outdoor pool, a 30,000-square-foot event and entertainment venue, an enlarged high-limit and VIP gaming area and additional food and beverage outlets.
Facenda said: “Reaching 2,500 slot machines is a milestone we’re proud of.”
The expansion adds to a broader land-based development pipeline in the tribal casino sector, where operators continue to invest in gaming capacity, parking access and non-gaming amenities as part of multi-phase resort projects.
In January 2026, Sky River Casino awarded $25,000 to 10 local charities through its Wreaths of Hope initiative, with 41,495 member votes cast during the 2025 campaign.
The parking structure remains under construction and will eventually connect with a future porte cochere as part of the property's wider arrival redesign
